Trust God….(Atleast Try)

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”Matthew 6:33.



The history pages of the world contain a story of a Roman general named Aemilius Paulus. He was appointed to the Roman army in a time of war and great fear and anxiety.



He found the army filled with a sad condition of affairs--more officers than fighting men, and everyone felt his advice was the best. And the war was conducted with their several opinions.



We conduct our lives with several opinions. Jesus comes and finds everyone clamoring after his worldly affairs, wanting this, and objecting to that, all seeking their own, and not the things of Jesus Christ.



He does the same thing that Roman general did. And then he says, "Do not worry saying, 'What shall we eat? Or What shall we drink or What shall we wear?"



Your heavenly father knows that you need all these things.



But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.



We seek our temporal welfare and put our spiritual welfare in the background.



We do not trust God, we chiefly trust ourselves. We fear that if we do not focus on our worldly prosperity, we shall be losers.



And so we neither seek the kingdom of God nor the righteousness of God. We only seek the world and its things. If we had more trust in God, we wouldn’t do so.
