The natural realm reflects the spiritual one

“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 18:18.

Jesus made this statement. And I think we always misunderstand him here. What did he mean?

The lives we live in the natural realm always reflect our lives in the spiritual realm. What we see is a result of what we don’t see.

If I own a house in the natural, it is because I first owned it in the unseen realm. No, this is not a law of manifestation. This is a spiritual law, and Jesus said it. If I am married in the natural realm, it is because I first got married in the spiritual realm.

Everything happening to us in the natural (on earth), is a reflection of what first happened to us in the spirit (in heaven).

The physical realm is an after effect of the spiritual realm. This is the simplest way to put it.

How can you use this information? If we are not successful in the things we are doing, we are operating in the wrong realm. The real realm is the spiritual.

This calls for awareness. This spiritual realm is something we all need to study…if we are ignorant, even the devil can manipulate us.

Remember the story of Peter.

One moment, he got a revelation about Jesus being the Son of the Living God. And a few minutes or hours later, Jesus talks about how he will have to suffer and die.

And the record is clear:

“But he turned and said to Peter, ‘Get behind me, Satan! You are an offence to me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.’” Matthew 16:23.

What do you think Peter thought? Observe. Jesus doesn’t address Peter. He addresses the spirit operating behind the whispers of Peter.

Elisha and the blinded Syrians

You have heard this story before, I assume. It is a well known tale what prophet Elisha did, but again misunderstood.

These soldiers came to arrest Elisha for disclosing the secrets of the Syrian king to the king of Israel. They found him and surrounded him.
