How to tell False Teachers from True Teachers
Just focus on the true teaching
--
There are a group of Christians whose work is to tell everyone that anyone who comes up in the limelight for teaching the word of God is a false teacher!
These people create YouTube channels, entire blogs, and social media pages, just to criticize everyone.
When I started to take the word of God seriously, I was reading a bunch of self-help books. And one time, I came across a man on TV: Andrew Wommack. He said some things which delighted my spirit. I decided to watch all his other videos. Before I knew it, I was in love with my Bible again.
I read Joel Osteen books. I listened to Joyce Meyer, and I loved everyone of these. I never missed Joseph Prince’s sermons.
All these people contributed to my spiritual growth.
Years later, I come across videos and blog posts claiming how some of these people are false teachers.
They miss the point. All these people have a role to play in shaping the spiritual growth of a person. Everyone has a starting point. Joel Osteen could be the entry point for someone. And for another person, Joyce Meyer could be the entry point.
To each their own. Eventually, God places people where they are supposed to be. As long as someone leads you to love your Bible and Jesus, then it is no problem.
